Introduction: The FairTax is a necessary step in limiting government and lowering our tax burden. As a representative of the Libertarian Party of Florida, I constantly look for ways to promote the FairTax as a way to show people how libertarianism is beneficial.
When and how did you hear about the FairTax and did anyone refer you to this group?: Several years ago is the when, but I do not recall exactly how. It was probably either from Neal Boortz, the internet, or some email.
Do you have a personal story about why you support the FairTax?: The FairTax does three important things: 1) it eliminates the invasion of privacy from the IRS for all individuals; 2) it increases tansparency so that we know how much tax we pay; 3) it promotes commerce in this country.
Have you read the FairTax Book and/or its sequel, FairTax:The Truth: Read both.
Are you a member of AFFT?: No. My money for political causes right now goes elsewhere.
How can you participate in the effort to pass the FairTax?: We Libertarians should be constantly working on outreach. I like to use these encounters to promote the FairTax as well as the Libertarian Party.
